It is an online tool that can assess if the candidate qualifies for a Work Visa based on the various eligibility criteria including salary, educational qualifications, work experience, age and skills test

Eligibility criteria

All candidates are subject to the eligibility criteria of the respective visa skilled categories

• Low • Medium • High

Eligibility for low skilled occupations

All occupations under Major group 9 (Elementary occupations) are eligible to apply for Low skilled visas

  • Age: Candidates should be between 18 to 60 years old
  • Skills verification: Occupations that need a skills verification test will require the candidate to take the test in one of the recognized centres in the home country

Eligibility for mid skilled occupations

All occupations under Major Groups 4 to 8 are eligible to apply for Mid skilled visas

  • Clerical support workers
  • Service and sales workers
  • Skilled agricultural, forestry and fishery workers
  • Craft and related trades workers
  • Plant and machine operators, and assemblers


a. Salary: If candidate’s salary is equal to or over SAR 2000 per month, candidate is eligible for a mid skilled visa. If salary is less than SAR 2000 per month, candidate is eligible for a low skilled visa

b. Skills verification: All candidates applying within these Major Group occupations, irrespective of the visa category, are required to take a skills verification test in one of the centres in the home country

Eligibility for high skilled occupations

All occupations under the major groups 1, 2 and 3 are eligible to apply for High skilled visas

1. Salary: If the candidate's salary is equal or over the minimum high-skill salary threshold, the candidate is eligibility to apply for a high skilled visa

2. Points system: Candidate needs to get a minimum of 75 points to qualify for a high skilled visa unless exempted

1 For major group 3 and sub major group 14, candidates with high school or equivalent get 0 points, diploma or equivalent get 25 points, Bachelors’ degree and above get 50 points

3 Candidates who are recent graduates are eligible for an exception with reduced minimum qualifying points of 50. To qualify for the exception, the candidate must be older than 18 and less than 30 years of age.


3. Candidates not meeting the minimum salary threshold or the minimum points required for high skilled visa can apply for a mid skilled visa

a. Salary: Candidates need to meet the minimum salary threshold for mid skilled visa, i.e., SAR 2000 per month

b. Education: Candidates need to have a minimum of the diploma degree or equivalent educational qualification, or degrees above a diploma like Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate or equivalent

4. Candidates not receiving a high or mid skilled visa can receive low skilled visa if the education is Diploma or above
