Michael is a Principal in Oliver Wyman’s Health & Life Sciences practice based out of the Chicago Office. Michael has worked across payer and provider clients with particular experience around developing clinical solutions, co-creative design thinking, and working with back and middle-office teams to design and implement new products.

Relevant Experience

For a multi-state Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan he led design of end-to-end member advocacy and concierge solution, facilitated 2-day design thinking workshop with 50+ leaders across the enterprise, coordinated across business and technical teams to develop detailed process flows, user stories, and other artifacts to enable development.

For a national health plan, led design of end-to-end member steerage solutions, convening stakeholders across the enterprise to co-create solution projected to drive 5% medical cost reduction.

For a multi-state Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan, designed operating model for integrated Care Management program to drive improved ROI via claims savings and increase revenue through group buy-ups.

For a regional TPA, created market analysis to assess revenue opportunity and ease of entry across geographies, and developed corresponding go-to-market and broker engagement strategy.

For a state-wide provider network, developed set of measures to assess provider performance across clinical and cost dimensions, used to drive provider behavior change and inform referral patterns.
